CRY is young people membership Organisation, it gives a priority to youth participation at every level and hence it is open to all young people. It is giving a platform for the youth of Pakistan to share and learn with each other. Every young person is invited to participate in the programs of CRY.
Coalition for the Rights and Responsibilities of youth is a youth led Organization. It is working for the promotion and Protection of Young peoples/ adolescents Rights and Responsibilities in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan.
The Organization has emerged after visiting its founder Qaisar Ismail to United Nations and participating as under eighteen delegate in the United Nations General Assembly Special Summit (UNGASS)on Children held in 2002 in New York. After his return from the event, he called a meeting of young people and they agreed to work together for promotion Rights and Responsibilities of Young People in North Western Pakistan.
a. To Mobilize/ Organize youth/ adolescents groups at community level.
b. To strengthen the essential competencies, skills, and attitudes of young people to be able to work as agents for change in promotion and protection of Human Rights, Democracy, Peace and Tolerance.
c. To promote and protect Reproductive Rights of Young people and get awareness about body and its safety to reduce high risk sexual behavior among young people and adolescents.
Adolescents and Young people age limit (15-29 years)
Focus of the Organization:
A. Strengthening Coordination and Networking
B. Strengthening capacity of adolescents groups on:
i. Promotion and protection of Rights, Responsibilities, Peace Pluralism and Tolerance
ii. Elimination of abuse and violence against women
iii. Behavioral Interventions to reduce high risks sexual behavior
C. Capacity Building in peer to peer Education about safety of body, STIs, HIV/AIDS
o Youth Groups Formation
o Advocacy for the Rights and Participation of Children and Young People
o Advocacy for control on small Arms
o Advocacy for access to HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support
o IEC Material Development on access to HIV/AIDS treatment
